The Education Policy Center at the University of Alabama invites applications for an Associate/Full Professor of Higher Education Administration, with a specialization in quantitative modeling in the economics of education, at either the higher education or K-20 levels. The College of Education’s Education Policy Center (EPC) was established in 1924 and is the oldest center or institute at The University of Alabama. We provide non-partisan information and analysis on place-based issues, challenges, and opportunities facing policymakers, scholars, practitioners, and lay leaders in our state, the Deep South, and beyond. The EPC is one of the nation’s leading sources of expertise on postsecondary access (Pell Grants), finance (National Surveys of Access and Finance), transfer, and economic development. Our classifications work is embedded in all federal U.S. Department of Education postsecondary education research databases. While EPC’s reach is national, we have special interest in rural institutions, people, and places rooted in Alabama and the Deep South.

Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in economics, political science, higher education, educational leadership, or a related field

Demonstrated record of scholarship

Demonstrated record of excellence in both online and face-to-face teaching at the postsecondary level

Demonstrated ability to secure external funding to support research or strong potential to do so

Pursuing a rigorous and innovative line of research

Pursuing external funding

Supporting work of the EPC via advanced modeling

Working with doctoral students on research activities

Providing research support to the department, college, university and profession

· Designing and teaching graduate-level courses delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats

The position start date is August 16, 2025.
