I am Assistant Professor of Educational Policy and Leadership Studies at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa. My research interests center on using qualitative, design, and action research to understand how to forge leadership mindsets and teaming and organizational capacity for continuous improvement in schools facing adversity. I completed my PhD and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to starting graduate study, I was a public school teacher for over a decade in several urban districts, including Berkeley, San Francisco, and Miami.
