Dr. Venrick is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Educational Leadership and Innovation under Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. After her retirement from K-12 education in 2005, she began her second career at ASU. Since then she has served as a Faculty Associate, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Intern Masters and Certification program, Associate Division Director and most recently, Coordinator of the Educational Leadership masters degree program.

Dr. Venrick taught special education and regular education classes (K-12th grade) for 15 years before becoming a K-8 school administrator. During that time, she taught professional development classes throughout the state of Wyoming for the State Department of Education 

She served as a school administrator in Deer Valley Unified School District for 15 years, during which time she proudly opened Paseo Hills Elementary, the first K-8 school in the Deer Valley District. Under her leadership, Paseo Hills earned the A+ School of Excellence Award from the Arizona Education Foundation. While serving as a school administrator, Dr. Venrick taught Educational Administration classes for Northern Arizona University.

She holds K-12 Superintendent, Supervisor and Principal Certificates in the state of Arizona, as well as K-12 Special Education and 1-8 Elementary Education teaching certificates.
