Profile: Thomas A. DeLuca

Thomas DeLuca serves as an associate professor with the department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies within the School of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Kansas. Dr. DeLuca earned his PhD at Michigan State University, as well as an MEd in Educational Leadership and an MBA from Grand Valley State University. Dr. DeLuca's K-12 experience includes serving as a teacher, principal, and finance director in both rural and urban districts.
Professor DeLuca's research focuses on four key areas: the politics of K-12 education finance and policy, governance within K-12 organizations, the influence of empirical evidence in decision-making and resource allocation, and alternative service delivery models.
