Lena Batt is an assistant professor at the University of Kansas.  Her research interests are focused on school finance, school leadership, and the politics of education.  Previously she was a secondary social studies teacher and principal in New York City.  She has also served as a consultant to the National Academy Foundation and the State of Massachusetts to support academy development in schools.
