Mary John O’Hair, Ed.D., is Professor of Educational Leadership in the Department of Educational Leadership Studies at the University of Kentucky (UK).  Dr. O’Hair served as dean of the UK College of Education, 2009-2018.  Prior to moving to Kentucky, she was professor of education leadership (1996-2009), associate dean (1996-1998), K20 Center founding director (1996-2009), and vice provost (2006-2009) at the University of Oklahoma.  O'Hair's research and teaching interests include organizational learning and communication, school-university-community partnerships, democratic education, and international education networking.  She has been principal investigator for grants from business, nonprofit, and government institutions totaling more than $40 million.  Dr. O’Hair has authored and co-authored research articles, scholarly books, and book chapters in the fields of educational leadership, teacher education, communication, and business.
