Profile: Jacob D Skousen
Jacob D. Skousen is a faculty member in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) program in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado. He has worked in public schools as a teacher at the elementary, middle and high school levels as well as an instructional coach. Dr. Skousen also has administrative experience as an after-school program director and as a building principal at the middle and high school levels. He has also taught as an adjunct faculty member at a community college. Dr. Skousen holds a Masters of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Bilingual Education, a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration, and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State University. His research interests include social justice leadership, leadership development and capacity building, rural school leadership, and effective leadership practices.
