Profile: Russ Romans
Dr. Russ Romans received his Ed.D in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico and is a Fellow in the Strategic Data Project at the Center for Educational Policy Research at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His dissertation involved studying the viability of establishing the first college in America to serve the LGBTQ community. He earned an MBA from the University of Illinois (Springfield) and BA with an emphasis in K-12 Art Education from New Mexico Highlands University. He established and directed the Leadership McKinley program at the University of New Mexico/Gallup and was Senior Associate at the Center for the Education and Study of Diverse Populations where he developed the Working Together: Parent, Family and Community Involvement Toolkit. He has also held administrative positions with the Priority Schools Bureau at the New Mexico Public Education Department, Albuquerque Public Schools Title I Department and served recently as the District Accountability Manager where he led the Data and School System Support Team and Instructional Audit teams.
