I am currently celebrating my 47th year in the field of education. I served as a classroom teacher in general and special education. I have a Master's in Behavior Disorders and a doctorate in Special Education. My higher education teaching experience has been in curriculum and instruction, special education, and currently, educatonal administration. My research interests include culturally responsive leadership, disproportional representation in special education, family/community engagement, and accessing the voices of K-20 students of color with an emphasis on African American girls.
