Dr. Liliana E. Castrellón (she/her), is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership at Duquesne University and Director of the UCEA Center for Educational Leadership and Social Justice. She received her PhD from the University of Utah in Educational Leadership and Policy. As a first-generation Latina college graduate and daughter of immigrants, Liliana grounds her research in educational equity and social justice for Students of Color and students with immigrant backgrounds, particularly undocumented students. Using Critical Race Theory and anti-racist frameworks, her research broadly uncovers how racism and racist nativism permeate within educational policy and practice across PK-20 pathways.
