Deena Khalil is an associate professor at Howard University School of Education. She completed her doctoral studies in Urban Systems with a focus on urban education leadership policy and mathematics education. Her scholarship focuses on how issues of equity, diversity, and social justice relate to the challenge of recruiting, hiring, and retaining teachers in urban districts.
