Profile: Judith Ponticell
Judith A. Ponticell is Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and Chair of the Department of Leadership, Counseling, Adult, Career and Higher Education at the University of South Florida, Tampa. Ph.D., Curriculum and Instruction, University of Illinois at Chicago; M.Ed., Policy and Evaluation Research, University of Illinois at Chicago; M.A., English and B.S., Education, Chicago State University.
Dr. Ponticell’s research addresses personal, interpersonal and organizational factors that influence individual and organizational learning and change. Dr. Ponticell has taught courses in leadership theory, organizational communication, organizational change and development, curriculum and program evaluation, supervision and professional learning and development.
Dr. Ponticell has served in faculty, administrative, and leadership positions at the University of Illinois, Chicago, Texas Tech University, the University of New Mexico, and the University of South Florida. She has served as an accreditation, program and grant evaluator in multiple states, as well as consultant to schools, school districts, state departments, businesses and business consortia, community agencies, and partnerships.
