RESEARCH SPECIALIZATIONS
Educational Leadership Preparation
I investigate educational leadership program characteristics and graduate outcomes, strive to develop collaborative means to evaluate university-based leadership preparation, and conceptualize preparation for inclusive and equitable educational leadership practice.
Policy Implementation and Leadership
I examine ways in which educational policies are articulated and implemented in schools. I am interested in how values, ideologies, assumptions, and power are revealed in policy language, development processes, and implementation dynamics. I particularly focus on critical analysis of educational policies and leadership practices that effect English Language Learners and students identified with disabilities.
