Profile: Jo Beth Jimerson
Jo Beth Jimerson, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and William L. and Betty F. Adams Chair of Education at Texas Christian University. Prior to her appointment at TCU, she worked as a teacher and school leader in Texas public schools for 13 years prior to completing her doctoral work in education policy and planning at The University of Texas at Austin. At TCU she works with aspiring principals and superintendents, teaching graduate courses in educational data use, program evaluation, research methods, and education policy. She also supervises pre-service administrators through the practicum experience. Her research dovetails with this work, and focuses on issues related to the responsible and constructive use of educational data to inform practice, instructional leadership, and the preparation of school leaders.
